Im running Pennywise Deadlight 81% 10hr on prime 16 hd. I've been through 2 lights so far. Current isn't 6 months old. Burning out led's.. any advice would be appreciated.

Usually the UV & V bulbs burn out a lot faster than the other ones unfortunately I think most people say to try and run them less than 60%. You can replace the bulbs. Maybe try moving the light closer to the water level to achieve similar par with less settings?

My understanding is only the pucks in the older models can be replaced. The newer ones that have the screw in lenses cannot be replaced.

Have you contacted AI? I've been running my prime at 80% for 4 years and never had leds burn out.

That's the lense that can be replaced. The LED'S on the board are what's burning out. You can't just order that board on the newer models. On the older models you can get the led puck itself from Lux

I assume you clean out the dust on top of the AI Vent. Sounds like an overheating issue. Maybe try a new outlet as well? I would reach out to AI as other than the lens I have not had this issue as well.

Something is off. 80% should not be an issue. I still have 3 units from an old build. Using 1 on a 13g.
I ran/run all my 16hds at 100% first 4 channels and 50% last 3.
Anything over 100% uv/v resulted in melted lens only on those leds.

I have 2 units that don't work. One does not come on and the other comes on but a few leds do not light up. None have burnt out!

Did you try a different power supply? I have had several go out.

Did the same leds die on both pucks?

Any pics?
