I am following the BRS AB+ schedule but I believe this is for an SPS tank. I have most LPS corals and not sure if my lighting is adjusted too high. Does anyone have this lighting and getting good results with LPS tank? If so PLEASE reply as I cant get much info on LPS light schedule. Thank you!

I run 3 primes over a 48x24x16 with mostly LPS and zoas. My "day" lights are on 1200-730. Both blue channels at 100%, white at 30%. I have a 30 minute ramp up and ramp down.

Its a standard 55 gal, I believe 48 wide maybe 14 long. My lights ( 2) are 9 inches above water level.

In this case, max out the UV, Violet, Blue, Royal Blue, and Green. As for white and red, pick what looks best. White is 6/16 LEDs so keep that in mind when guessing the par. Do not let the LPS reach further than 24 inches from the light.

Are you getting good results and how long have you been running the primes? Thanks for the reply!

Thanks, I actually have all my LPS on the bottom but almost directly under the lights. 2 Octospawn, 3 torch and 1 frogspawn. My frogspawn all of a sudden is not happy and barely opens. Part of why im asking about lighting. Parameters are good and havent changed besides raising Alk from 7.0 to 8.5 SLOWLY over 1 weeks time.

Where in the tank do you dose the alk? If you dose directly into the tank they can close up if the alk solution hits them which is why I ask.

Also, you can swap out green with white since white will cover some of the green range if you want more white. 100% on each channel should produce 100 par in the center from 24 inches away from the LED

I got my schedule right from the World Wide Corals website and just raised the intensity. My LPS and Zoas are doing great. I’ll get you the info in a little bit if you would like.

I actually raised the Alk with Seachem Reef builder because it raises Alk without changing other parameters. I mixed 1 teaspoon in a 20 0unce bottle of RODI and doesed that twice a day over a week so just a splash 1/8 cup maybe per dose in mid tank where one of my power heads are aimed towards the top so that it spread well and didnt just go to the bottom.

I guess that should be fine. I would think your other corals would close up too. I like to dose into a filter intake if there is not sump.

Around 65%, though I don't see a ton of visual effect from them. Red and greens are lower, around 30%.

They will appear duller to you (our eyes are not very sensitive to those wavelengths) but those channels (particularly violet) are the key colors for the chlorophyll A in the coral. If you do raise it do it very slowly.

Looking back to your reefing roots: Did you start with Instant Ocean salt?
