Hi
I was wondering if any one could give me a little insight into my lighting schedule or recommend a better one.
im running the AI Prime HD on a Aqua one mini reef 120. But I’m not seeing any significant coral growth.
is my lighting schedule ok?
Thanks in advance

Hi Mike, welcome! Please add dimensions, how high the light is from the water, water volume, type of corals, where they are in the tank and photos wouldn't hurt either.

Hi GabeM
thanks

the tank is 120 litres display.
the tank dimensions are 23 inch wide, depth 17.5 inch, height 17 inches.
Light is 10 inch above the tank.
corals are GSP in two colours, 5 types of Zoa’s, two Duncan’s. Clove polypsand a hammer.
ive attached pics but they are not the best as the tank is winding down for the evening.
I also have a algae bloom on my sand bed yet again that I can not get ride of.

Thank you for the info!

The light seems placed well, it may be worthwhile to move it closer to the water but you won't know actual par numbers until you rent a meter. You are only running ~25W peak on the tank which should be fine for softies.

How long has the tank been running and do you have the parameters for the tank? Everything is alive and not receding? Do you have fish? Sorry for all of the questions.

the questions are fine, I’m great full for the help.
I have a pair of clowns, a blennie, 3 chromes I need to re-home, a 6 line wrasse that I’m contemplating re-homing as he picks fights, a cleaner shrimp and a few various snails.
tank parameters are all good at last check but I have not been writing them down, so will have to start doing that.
everything is alive and the only things with any real growth are the scrambled eg zoa’s and the GSP.
the tank was set up earlier this year but was an upgrade so everything was moved from the old tank.

That is a pretty heavily stocked tank (fish) IMO - can you test and provide your parameters?

Can anyone else chime in on this?

I'm running 2 AI 16 hd's in a 75g tank: 36" x 24" x 22" with mainly softies and lps. I recently added an sps. I am running the David Saxby schedule and everything is looking good and growing. Probably not much help, but i luv these lights.:)

I have 2 AI Primes on my IM Lagoon 25, so 24 x 20 x 12, I would start saving up for a second one, one thing about LEDS you always need another one.
