Was wondering why I have a few zoas that are closed when everything’s doing so well and how I know. Pictures don’t show much as it’s difficult to capture. I dip my corals in revive before introducing into tank.. yet somehow somewhere along the way an aiptasia has snuck in and I now have them all throughout my tank frags etc.

What’s the best solution? Peppermint shrimp? It’s 150+ gallon tank and I can’t just toss everything.

Nudibranches work great! I ordered from Salty Underground.

Kleini butterfly is my #1 choice. Under $30, colorful, friendly towards other fish, rarely bothers coral, eats aptasia like candy and after theyre gone eats all dry and frozen foods.
Using a syringe, mix kalkwasser powder into a thin paste and inject into core of each aptasia and they will melt away on the spot

Will that hurt the Zoas tho? It looks like they’re on polyps of the zoas.

I have three tanks (one in each and they bother nothing). IF, and IF they would bother zoa, place the fish in sump until its needed again or rehome it to another person with Aptasia issues

True, I think I’m going to give it a shot. What’s the recommendation while I wait for the fish (Tuesday is when they’re arriving).

Syringe and Kalkwasser paste method. It really wipes them out

Aiptasia-x used that. Think I got some of them but others I’m not sure. Added a Klein butterfly (he’s putting in some work), a aiptasia file fish (haven’t seen him doing a whole lot yet), a copperband butterfly (eh- haven’t seen him do much of anything).

So we will see.

Here’s today’s additions. Will keep it updated on progress.
