Hi guys, so I just picked up a new aqua marin 1200 from my local maidenhead everything went smooth tank, stand, ect was wrapped so couldn't really check it out open the top layer of protection just to check for cracks looked good, well actually it was some one who worked there that did this, got it home and noticed an air bubble in very bottom seal on the right hand sight of the tank messaged the company to be told its perfectly normal and is more common than I think, this isn't just a tiny air bubble it's about 5-6mm in diameter and not something I expect on a brand new aquarium, so if I can't get a refund or exchange does it pose any threat to the seam or structural integrity of the tank? Sorry for the long post thanks in advance

“More common than you think”....a new tank.....really....NOT.
I doubt that would be structurally deficient, but should NOT be on a new tank.

IMM, that’s damaged unless you got it real cheap.

That would upset me.
New is new, no chips, no bubbles, no scratches.
My Pro-Clear 230g had a scratch on the back glass and one door.
So the price was reduced to $1,000 from $4,000.
It was either that or it was going back.

Just hoping they will be amicable and either refund me or replace, thanks for your input, much appreciated.

Your welcome.
And 100% correct.
It will be nice to know what they do so we can advise others on their customer care.
I got a 75% discount, so kept the tank.

Well they replied this morning, they said the scratch and chip was not acceptable and will be ringing the manufacturer to order me a new tank in, they didn't acknowledge the bubbles at all as if there wasn't a problem I don't understand how this isn't seen as a defect and am worried about the new aquarium having the same bubbles, will just have to see how it goes

That’s a great start.
I don’t have any air bubbles in the seal at all in any tank I’ve ever owned for 30 years, so not sure what it’s implications are if any.
Hopefully, the new one will be free of any defects.
Good job
