Alarm on rocks and glass

Algae on rocks. Sorry about the post name

Trying to find out how to get rid of this algae. Only grows on rocks and back glass. Is really light at first then gets really thick and hard to scrape off. Doesnt get long just thick. Really dark green color on glass unless I scrape off early enough. I scrape off back glass and front glass at least every few days.

Tank is 7 months old but was moved over from my set up when I upgraded and sand is about 1 1/2 years old. Parameters are pretty stable. I've tried dosing nopox and didn't have much results. Also tried phosphate e and didn't have much luck.

What kind of clean up crew do you have? some turbos or a sea hare would make quick work of it I would think.

I have a couple turbos. probably 10 - 20 nassarius snails. and about 100 little tiny ceriths, some hermits as well. I thought sea hares were only for hair algae. I don't think mine is hair.

I have a mag fox face and scopas tang that pick at the rocks but not fast enough to get rid of it. Should I just keep everything stable and see if the system starts to out compete it. If so how long should I let it tri to do so?
