I have a hard time with algae of multiple kinds getting all over my live rock. Not sure what kinds I have now but I did have an outbreak of bubble algae 6 months ago. I started using Brightwell Microbactor Clean and Razor which did get rid of the bubble algae and some hair algae. That being said I quit using it because it was hard on my corals and cleanup crew. I lost lots of snails and crabs along with several corals ( Acan, Zoa, Hammer, Goni). I have started using MB Clean and Razor again, but my ZOAS look terrible although I am using a smaller dosage than they say to use. I really don't think my water parameters are all that bad. I started dosing NOPOX to help keep Nitrates down which where only averaging about 15ppm. I had a jump up to 25 when I started feeding Reef Roids and Reef Energy Plus. I have really paid attention to the amount I feed the corals which I do twice a week which has helped. When I first started dosing of NOPOX I got very low Nitrates and Phosphates, and it took a while for me to get them to come back up. I am still trying to level things out with the NOPOX and the coral feeding of Reef Roids and Reef Energy Plus.

Here are my water parameters:

Tank was started 3/2023
90 gal Pro Clear with Aquamax Skimmer and 2 filter socks
Reef Breeders PhotonV32 (I run the lights low 10 hours with ramp up and down. Red & Green 3%, White 5%, Blues 20%)
I used to run a Reactor with DeNitrate and Phosban but don't seem to need it now.
I dose ALL For Reef, NOPOX, Magnesium, Julian Sprungs Reef Formula Iron Concentrate with Manganese (this has really helped my Goni)

Temp - 78
Salinity - 1024
Nitrates - 6.2 - 9.8 for the last 2 weeks (be better at 5?)
Phosphates - 0.02 - 0.09 for the last 2 weeks
Alk - 9.5
PH - 8.2
Calcium - 510 (trying to get it down some)
Magnesium - 1360

At this time, I have in my tank:

Flame Angel, Blue Tang (which is black almost), 2 Clowns, Six Line Wrasse, Firefish, Azure Damsel
2 Duncans, 2 Goni's, Green Hairy Mushroom, Orange Yuma Mushroom with 2 more starting, Purple Yuma Mushroom, Birdnest, 3 Zoas, Anacroporia, Leptoseris
Several snails and crabs (need more after a bunch died)
Pincushion Urchin which is new

Help would be appreciated!!

How old is this tank? The corners of the glass looks spotless, so I guess its a new tank? Did you start with dry rocks or live rocks?

The tank doesn't look bad at all, it looks nice in the picture, I'm not seeing much algae.

But I see no snails either, so as a first step I would increase the algae grazing snails, I love turbo snails for algae.

I had a bunch (couple dozen or so) of snails died after using Microbactor Clean and Razor. This tank was started 3/23. It looks decent now because I had just done a water change and removed a lot of algae. Wish I could take a decent picture.
