Looking for some advice on my algae reactor.

I recently setup a Aquamaxx reactor with these lights:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F8NGZVW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

However when I ordered the Chaeto and put it in, it slowly died and turned to mush. I want to give it another shot but I'm not sure what exactly I should alter to have better luck growing the Chaeto. I have plenty of algae growing in my tank so it's not like theres no nutrients for the chaeto.

Anyone have any experience getting this to work?

Sorry I'm not quite sure that a furion supplement is. Could you send a link or something?

Sorry, Ferrion. It is sold by brightwell aquatics. It is an iron supplement. This guy will tell you more about it:
