Is this algae good or bad? I’ve been thinking of removing all the algae growing on the back glass but is there any benefit of leaving it?

That just seems like standard GHA so not a good guy, but it's not the worst pest to have. It removes nutrients from the water, so that could either be a positive or negative. I would remove it to prevent it from spreading if that was my case.

EDIT: Another benefit of the algae is that it's a breeding ground for copepods.

Agreed it looks like Green Hair Algae (GHA). I'd look to remove it too, and typically it gets like that when you have high nutrients, so maybe double check your parameters.

This may help:

Good luck!
