Algae help

I have this algae spreading everywhere in my tank sombody at LFS told me to dump a crap load of magnesium into my tank just wanted to get some options on doing this

Does the algae close up when you poke it? Could be hydroids not algae.

Well I think I have fixed my problem not going to lie I did lose a few heads of my zoas but im ok with that I shut the tank down and caked the affected area with AIPTASIA X by RED SEA I ket the tank sit dead with no pumps or power heads for 30 min. I hade to do this twice but it killed it. After each dose I did notice my blue legs where realky hanging out in the areas that I applied the aiptasia x. So im thinking they ate the crap just wanted to ket everyone know
