Hey, just wondering if anyone knows what type of algae this is. The purple is just this one patch and the red is dotted around the tank and on the glass.

I assume these red/purple spots are cyanobacteria starting to grow.

Can you try blowing the purple spot away using a feeding pipette / turkey baster or something similar? If it appears to be slimy and can (at least partially) be blown away this is a great indicator. As long as it's only a very thin layer it might not act slimy, but the purple spot already looks a bit larger.
