The only sure way to diagnose things is to take a sample and look at it through a microscope. Siphon out what you can and regularly as possible. Out of interest though, I have a few valid questions which my help others willing to guess. How long has your tank been running? Was is setup with live or dry rock? What equipment do you have running? What do your water parameters appear to be like?
