Does anyone know what kind of algae this is, the long stringy stuff that floats with bubbles at its end. It isn’t all that much of a problem just a nuisance to clean up very couple of days but it comes off easy. Anyone know what might eat it?

Hard to tell from that photo but looks more like dinoflagellates to me. Is it intact when you pull it out or does it break apart?

Dinoflagellates. They are a problem. No magic bullet to exterminate them. Siphon them out. Make sure you have some phosphates and nitrates in the aquarium.

Good trouble: Have mushrooms ever become pests in your aquarium?
