Algae issue need help

Hey guys this stuff is growing all over now its brown spots and its getting fuzzy as well. Does anyone know how to get rid of this and what causes it to appear. My phosphates are 0.00 and have been for some time. Thanks! Any help will be appreciated

need nonblue pic to tell, can you change up spectrum really quick

lots of algae, GHA included, grow in low nutrient conditions its not always that they are uptaking nutrients to cause zeros, lets see the invader better to tell

full tank shot, too

those might be diatoms or light cyano we could simply siphon and guide out using no major cheats

Also noticing that there is a film thats forming over it and pretty much covering all the rocks

truly these are todays biggest takes:

1- siphon remove it with hard work, taking out detritus stores along with it that feed these issues. add clean up crews, may or may not work, but the hand removal part simply disallowing it makes it gone and you repeat until you change other variables like lighting intensity/spec, checking nutrients with the typical high quality test kits, to try and keep them low, but mainly hand removing all waste and algae. a work oriented event, ends with zero algae and more work than luckier or more techy combos

2. add gfo and begin to starve it. testing w HQ test kits to avoid stripping corals too, an added risk. this method typically leaves all the algae in the tank and the detritus.

I have tried to siphon it on my last water change and it did not come off. I also use a turkey baster to remove any loose particles and hit the algae with that and again did not remove it. I also noticed alot of sponges growing all over all of a sudden. This is 1 of a few major issues that I have going on. 1 being this brown algae, 2 flatworms, and 3 bryopsis. All need to be taken care of but a the moment this algae is number 1 to go

for sure the bryopsis needs to be lift out rock, apply 3% peroxide technique. some use the kent M

that can ruin your tank, the others not. I call elevated response for all holdfast based invaders. things you can rub off aren't holdfast based, so uv can intercept them as they traverse through the water -after- you employed mode 1 to rid the whole tank of them. it zaps the leftovers from reforming.


some use chemicals to intercept them at this point, after manual cleaning, opinions vary. some shoot in red slime cleaner, mb7 bacteria, on and on it always varies per person

a UV sterilizer will fix the -non holdfast- issues but only if its sized correctly. this is the exact point that opinions diverge permanently on what to do about X invaders, nobody will ever agree fully. the sponges and the diatom fraction will not ruin your tank, the BRY or the hair algae sure might, they need to be removed now and that's only my opinion coming from this:

Ok well here is alittle more insight of what I have changed. Before I noticed this brown algae I have been using aminos and oyster feast everyday.
