After battling gha on multiple tanks over many years this is different. This tank only has nuisance algae on snail shells. I guess it’s going to be a haircut by pulling off. Brush shells with peroxide or let them take it down? Red banded trochius

I just let the other snails eat it, you may have to move them closer so they can find each other though.
They’re close, seem to hang out in groups, there are 15 of them, banded black foot. Last tank was red banded, mistake above.(:

For some reason, only the trochus snails I've bought and seen at LFS tend to sometimes have a thick, hard to remove, turf algae on them.
*not sure if that's the case here

I've always gone through great efforts to remove as much as possible while in QT, but it's tough to pull off. (I've also tried to carefully apply H2O2 to shell only to fight it with limited success).
*never had any of this turf algae spread throughout my tank, luckily (so far)

These were bought from AGB. They didn’t have anything on them when I received them, as far as I could tell. Been in there for months, were very small and they’ve grown fast. My guess is they picked it up somewhere from tank, I don’t see anything on coral.

Just use your finger to keep the hole closed and pour some peroxide on them. Wait 2-3 minutes and throw them back in the tank.
