I bought a pack of frozen saltwater multipack from Petco. I immediately noticed it was sourced from China, and it really threw my water parameters off with lots of algae on the glass. The guy at Petco said to wash it first in R/O water before feeding as it is coated in an algae solution. My PH dropped off and PH4 won't drop much below 14. Will try and advise.

Can you clarify what the above sentence means? Phosphate is 14 in what units? pH is what now?

What exact brand/product?

Not sure what food packed in an algae solution means.
