Algae problems? Get one of these!

I know every fish is different but I just thought I would share I bought this new fish and he is absolutely decimating the algae in my tank from macro - bubble algae. I haven't seen too many of them around either. Orange spot rabbit fish

I have one in my 180. He's 10" long and incredible on algae. He eats out of our hand and has attained pet status. My advice is have a very large aquarim, Roger will get to be over 16" long.

I had one for a year, it did a great job of taking care of algae. BUT.... I had to bring him into a LFS because he also enjoys c******* on leather coral and clam mantles. So watch out if you have soft corals and clams. He did not touch stony corals though.

Watch out, that's one of the largest rabbitfish out there. I've seen ones in aquariums 12in long.

They are suppose to grow to 16!

I have one of these in my 180. Great reef member. Not only does he pick at algae but he also sifts sand, throughout the day he will pick up sand and push it over his gills. They do get large though, as mine is the second biggest fish in my tank.

I would also like to add a bit of advice on these puppies. When I see these at local fish stores, they usually are very thin. Mine was but after 2 months in my tank he began to fill out. He is like a larger version of my Kole Tang, eats and eats then eats some more. Sand, algae, Nori, pellets, frozen, a silverside. FEED ME
