Can someone recommend a good algae scraper for starphire glass? last thing I want to do is scratch a cu$tom build tank

This is what works for me... Mag-Float 400 Magnetic Scraper for Glass, the ends are rounded over, not sharp, reducing the ability to scratch glass accidentally... No matter how careful you are if you get sand under the blade or the cleaning pad of ANY scraper you will scratch it, sapphire or not so take your time when nearing the sand bed and the silicone in corners.

Don't leave the blade in the salt water they will rust and are not meant to stay in the tank.

I recently got the new tunze scraper and I'm really impressed. I also have The Flipper on my main tank, and it also works well. The blade works so well I really don't flip it over to the pad side anymore.

I have heard of the credit card. The tank is 20'' high so i can reach the bottom. I have just the bank in mind.

This is an old trick I still stand by to this day.
Purchase your favorite floating magnet. Mine is a very old Tiger Shark float.
Purchase a Dobie pad available in any grocery store.
Cut the white material and stretch it to fit over the "water" side of your float. Dobie pads will not scratch glass or acrylic but cuts through algae very well. Just do not get any gravel in between.
On the side that is on the outside of your tank. Purchase a piece of felt from any variety store.
Cut a square that fits across the outside of the float.
When you want to clean, just spray the outside of your glass with a little water. Just enough to get the felt wet and away you go just as smooth as can be.

When the felt gets dirty or salty, just rinse and or replace.

My magnet lives on my tank glass hidden in the back when I am not using it.
Magnets can be extremely dangerous around children!!
