Hey everyone,

I got a new frag and some type of algae has started sprouting out of it. I couldn't identify it by the spouts as most pictures I search are full blooms. Can anyone tell me what this is?

Looks like some sort of Macro Algae. Keep us informed of the progress. Do you have any tangs? If so do they pick at it?

I'll keep my eye on it and see what it grows into. Might put out into QT. I don't have and herbivores in my tank.

+1 on the macro algae ID. QT good idea especially since it looks like you have a bubble algae near the bottom of the other algae. You don't want it releasing it's spores throughout your DT.
