I set up my ATS and it was working great. Algae was growing on the screen and algae in the tank all but disappeared. I took it out to scrape it as it was getting thick and so far after over a month it still has very little new growth on it. I see no algae in the tank either. I am guessing this is a good thing? Did I use up all my nutrients and rid myself of all my algae in one full screen of algae growth? Is this generally what happens with ATSs?
On another note, I now have the purple cyano appearing on my sand bed.
