Hi there all. Have some algea issues at the moment on my sand bed and rock. I added new rock around 2 months ago and I expected it to become dirty in the tank and sure enough it did. But I would of expected this issue to go by now. Can anyone help please tan

It looks like a dinoflagellate. If, in the morning before the lights turn on, there's less of it on the sand bed and more in the afternoon, then it's 99% likely to be a dinoflagellate.

How old is your tank?

Yes this is definitely the case! What would cause this? Could it be the new rock cycling? Thanks

There can be many reasons, from light and new rock to water chemistry. So far, it doesn’t look too bad. I’ll wait and observe. That’s my opinion.
