I thought this acro was dead. I took an up close pic and I believe it's alive.
If it is, it is the ugliest acro I've ever seen.
What do you think?

I would rate that alive for sure nice one. I can't remember if those are called autozooids or not/extensions from polyps that may be leathers only. not sure of the sps nomenclature but could be live az's

hey upon closer view that is strange, are those little fanworms coiled up along its sides?

wonder if that's briareum overtaking a former sps frag/white light needed. no blues

I know it started as a random brown acro. It's been in my display for about 7 months.
I have no idea what it is now.

Living acro or dead acro overgrown with whatever it may be.

I would really like to know though.

I don't know about worms. It would seem to be an awful lot of them on only one small acro and nowhere else.
Also, I see no tubes.

What is this in my reef?
