so I have been dosing high amounts with little luck raising my alkalinity in my 125 mixed reef. It's so low now it's starting to affect my coral. Today I raised it to 95mls just for today and 75mls regularly in a dose of 50 mls at 9 and 25mls at 1 anyone have any suggestions how tl raise and keep it there? I was at 5.6 hoping thos will boost to at least 7 then will try again tomorrow with the extra dose

Are you consuming 35ml of Alk a day? Guess we need to figure out how much Alk is consumed a day then dose accordingly. I would also bring Alk up slowly and not 95ml all at once.

I have been doing 50mls day and no change from the 5s sometimes I would get a 6...so its hard to tell. I was hoping the 95 mls would bring me close to 8 by tomorrow even a 7. Something would be nice.

I would try switching from Red Sea to Sodium Bicarbonate to see if you can raise it a little faster and more efficient.

OMG I just changed battery even though no battery low sign andopen package new solution and the alk is 11.5 and my tank upstairs is 12.2 :oops::oops: thank God I did that. Upstairs is all soft coral and happy as can be especially my clam!!! Never been happier but down here was probably an 8 when I dosed it....so now i halted the dkse for next few days to see how it's consumed. Then I will just resum a maintaining dose...I can't believe that!!
