Alkaline question.

I have started using red reef ab+ on my corals, I have only done this once so far. Today my long tentacle has moved to a rock. He has been in one spot for little over a month, he has even attracted a clown. Well he’s on the move to a better spot. I checked the parameters and everything is good except alkaline it’s 80 way to low. I’m going to ifs to get some Kh. Would the dosing with the AB+ have anything to do with the Alkalinity being low and the anemone on the move? Also he won’t stay on the rock will he?

I question whether your alkalinity could be that low. How are you testing? Don’t add anything until you confirm your actual alkalinity.

That would be 4.5 dKH, if you're doing regular water changes and your salinty is anywhere around 1.025, that appears to be a testing error.

Those strips are very inaccurate and unreliable. Your test results are probably wrong. Test with something like the Hanna checker for Alkalinity, and get yourself good quality test kits for everything else as well. Some good test brands are Hanna, Sailfert and Red Sea Pro.

If you need alk, just use grocery store baking soda for one off corrections. Nothing in an lfs will be better in that use.
