Over the past few weeks, my tank has been reading at 8.0 for pH after a 1/2 weekly water change on my 5g (a sign of coralline growth??).

I'm looking into aqua vitro balance, so could I just mix the balance into my saltwater? I mix my water in advance, so could I add the balance with it? I'm (kind of) aware that there is a difference between pH and alkalinity, so should I raise both individually?

Got any other ideas, methods, or products to use?
Sorry for all the questions, but thanks! :D

Adjust individually as required. Ph of 8 is ok. You will bet a drop of .1 over night. I have found coralline prefers Alk of 8-9dkh IMO don't premix AVB . Do your water change, let it stabilize and make small changes. When you upgrade a 29g is nice size that's isn't too painful to build up. Buy a piece of equipment etc. at a time till you are ready to set up tank. IMO the bigger the tank the easier it is to maintain to a point. Good Luck
