Word on the street is you got to be careful when dosing Alk and Carbon or you might get burnt tips. That's what I'm trying to avoid.

My SPS are happy at 8.5 dKh and I've been maintaining that level via dosing. I noticed burnt tips at 9.5 dKh when I overdose alk.

So what's a good dKh level to maintain when dosing NoPox?

It is nothing special for NOPOX. It is just that when nutrients are very low with any means, some folks get burnt tips when the alk is not in the 6.5-8 range, or maybe a bit higher. It may be because the skeleton grows faster due to the higher alk than the tissue can keep up at the lower nutrient levels.

Perhaps the nutrients are not low enough for that to be an issue. I never got my tank into a ULNS state despite large doses of vinegar. :)
