So yesterday I setup my new jaybo dp4 dosing pump and hooked up a bottle of Red Seas alkalinity supplement. Everything was running fine until today I noticed that the tubing that goes into the alkalinity bottle was crystallizing possibly from the salt? I've been shook the alkalinity bottle and it sounds like there's chunks of hard salt in there. Not sure why this happened or if I did anything wrong? The alkalinity bottle is below the dosing pump so when the pump stops running it looks like the alkalinity get sucked back down into the bottle a little bit. Anyone ever had this happened before or know what the problem is? Thanks for any help

jaybo dp4 dosing pumps are well know for having 3 rollers and will allow tank water to drain back to your bottle.

1. Keep outlet tube discharge above the water line bu this will also allow air to enter without a check valve.
2. Install check valves on the discharge tubing.

The tubing is above the water line, and yet it's still crystallizing in the tube. I'm just confused as to why it's even crystallizing? I know there's salt in the alkalinity solution but would it may be crystallized because of air bubbles in the tubing?

Yes. I use a wire hanger to clear the obstructions weekly from CA and Alk lines.
