I am thinking of switching to another alkalinity tester. I currently use Salifert an an thinking of switching to Hanna.

I am struggling to keep a stable alkalinity and I feel part of that is due to not going to a consistent color in the salifert kit. I am thinking the Hanna, will be more consistent in that regard.

Is there a better test kit over Hanna? I am getting into Across and still trying to dial in my parameters. The last one I'm struggling with stability is alkalinity.

Hanna is good for alkalinity, better than Salifert, however I think both are pretty good if you're consistent.
I would use Hanna exclusively if the reagent was not 18.00 for 25/test.
I also use Aquaforest which I like as well.

What do you mean not a constant colour with salifert, you have to keep adding a drop until it goes pink, it will go through green/purple first.
