I’ve been running Alkatronic for 5 years straight with zero issues. For alk testing the Alkatronic is more accurate since it is ph based. Reagent is cheaper as well.
I love my tridents however I have had a few issues with them. Build quality is pretty terrible for the cost involved but I’m sure they will improve in time especially now there are alternatives out there.
+1 to alkatronic. A lot cheaper to run. Also the whole thing is serviceable by yourself. How Trident hold up long term, and how the supposed 2 year service plan work, is still uncertain. Trident is smaller, if space is really a big factor for you.
I think i am leaning more towards alkatronic
Triden too me seems cheaper and smaller even thow ive never owned one and im more worried about alk then anything else like calcium or magnesium and to me it seems the alkatronic is more catered too alk also trident seems real small
