I made great progress until the tape slipped and hit my left hand while it was holding the tank.

Be careful. It slipped and hit the innocent bystander hand. I’m not quite all healed yet

Carefully slide the tape through all the gaps on the trim

This was the low boy tank I started with

It was $150. The have other versions, the saltwater was $180 but the first two came broke and this was all they had. The assured me the glass thickness was the same on all tanks.

The glass thickness is .228”. All around and not tempered. I drilled the bottom with no issue.
