Hi all. I just started having acros in my evo 13.5. So far all my frags gradually turned green, including a walt disney and PC rainbow that supposed to be yellow or purple. Is there anything I should do?
Current parameter from this afternoon:
ALK 9.3 Ca 425 Mg 1320 NO3 15 PO4 0.07
I'm dosing 1 ml acropower everyday too

many thanks in advance

Acros can be green for a bit and over time devolpe their color back. Probably just getting used to a new system. Growth and polyp extension are most important to begin with. Of course lighting and parameters should be correct..your numbers are ok..alk a little high for my taste with n03 and p04 numbers but nothing to worrry about. Mine are about the same but alk at 8.2.

I never had luck with acros in small tank. Hard to achieve stability. Also, its common for Walt Disney to turn green. It takes a lot of light for the yellow and blue to show. Also know that most acro frags will turn green or brown initially. It may take months for them to encrust and color up. The real color comes when they become colony size. Here's my walt Disney from a few weeks ago. It has turned a lot more green since because I been getting my nutrients up and went too far with phosphate. However, Walt Disney and PC rainbow are super hardy. So good choice for starter acros

They are usually quite greenish in person. If you use all blues and an orange filter like a lot of online sellers do that's when you get the brilliant yellows.

PC rainbow is mostly red or yellow. Green is when they are not super happy.
Was talking about the walt disney, never seen a PC rainbow in person. But either is likely to be less green under more light and both (knowing acropora) could easily stay green for months after shipping or have only new growth be the right colors.

Thanks! PE are fine on all the frags. Do I need to bring down the KH?

Wow this looks absolutely stunning. I have PE on my WD but it turned from yellow to light green. Do you think I need to keep increasing my light? It was at ~250 par now but I also only had a small tank.

I was using all blue before but people are saying I can't get good coloration unless I'm using full spectrum, so I added back the white, green and red, with white being 25% of the blue and green/red being 15

Mine is right under my Radion and under very very high par. But light is just one factor. Nutrient is the other. Keep your nutrients stable and let it grow out. It will stay green as a frag for a bit

I'm no expert in this but acros are supposedly more forgiving at a touch lower alk than that..I'm sure someone can articulate it better than me.

Nah I think its more of the intensity than spectrum. I think jason fox uses all blues?

The main problem is that you can't have a higher alk and run an ULNS as this seems to be the cause for burnt tips
