Green Montipora digitata turning blue

Hi everyone! :)

I had this green Montipora digitata, but it has turned blue, almost as if it had lost its color. In the previous tank was totally green.


Has anyone ever experienced anything similar?

All my other SPS corals (mostly frags) are doing well, growing and encrusting, and their colors look pretty much as expected for a young tank.

My parameters are:

• PO4: 0.1 mg/L
• NO3: around 1.5 mg/L
• KH: 8 dKH
• Ca: 430 ppm
• Mg: 1300 ppm

What do you guys think could be causing this?

Is it just the polyps that are blue? And they were green? The base color still appears green to me in the photo.

Yes, the polyps were green, don't remeber the base color

Flow similar to previous?
PAR the same?
How long has it been since the move?

Salinity 34 PSU.
Flow and PAR surely different, now it's got more flow and light intensity.
It's been one month ago.

It's growing everyday, seem fine

It has good polyp extension now. Did it in the last tank? It may be responding to better conditions. I'd let it go another couple of months since it's doing well otherwise. Then it may be time for an ICP-MS test to see where your minor and trace elements stand.

It didn't, actually!!

Yep, I don't want to touch anything, just observe! I'm just curious how it can change color like this. The other Montipora digitata piece is actually blue, and it's always been blue!
