Hi all,

I’m starting to get really concerned about the 4 chalice frags in my system. They’ve one by one begun keeping their mouths (eyes) open 24/7. No tentacles, just open little black holes. Some have also started to pull in and recede flesh.

I’m at a total loss. All parameters seem okay. Nutrients may be a little low. Two are on sand bed and two on a frag rack ~4 inches above sand bed.

Alk 8
Cal 420
Mag 1450
NO3 2-5
PO4 .02

Could the issue be low nutrients?

Appreciate any help, guys. These are some of my most prized pieces.

Open mouths sound hungry, and your nutrients are at the low end.

I'm starting to get really worried about these chalices. They don't seem to be taking food when administered. It just kind of sits on them while they leave their mouths open.

Anyone ever have this happen that could provide insight? Two of them are jelly bean chalices, so I would be especially sad to lose those. Thanks, all!
