So what was the hard water comment in relation to?

I thought that having hard water would through off the Alkalinity? up until 3 weeks ago I would topping off with filtered tap water and using seachem prime. After doing some reading and going to the Orlando Reef a Palooza and asking some question. I switch over Ro/DI water. I bought a Ro/Di filter to filter my tank water.

I had time to read your Reef Alchemy article last night and will read though it again today to pull some more good information.

Hard water adds calcium and/or magnesium, but tap water can also add alkalinity. :)
