Not the puppy disease, not pseudo science, or pseudo nutrition, but real live nutritional additions to your saltwater tank and it’s biome, and you can get it “a la cartia” or in our newest products. So if you buy the gallon. Do you pour it all at once or over a few days? I have a 165 gallon system. Or what would be a good size to seed my tank with?

I would add the full gallon all at once. Do this at least an hour after lights out so as not to create a feeding frenzy allowing for the copepods to find shelter increasing their chance to establish a colony in your tank. This can happen with the first addition, or take two to three. Many factors affect this such as how heavily they are hunted and water quality. At 165 you could go with the gallon or 1/2 gallon (obviously more is better, but some is way better than none). Then observe with a light after dark every so often and if pods are present then great if not add some more in a month. If you see pods, but they seem to be less as you watch then think about adding more. Either size you chose to hit with first, you can probably add the 1/2 gallon as a follow up if needed. I dose each week splitting my remaining harvest between my 6 tanks. Some weeks it is almost none other weeks I might have 16-32 Oz for each as I always pull an extra gallon or two incase I get last minute orders.

So @Ocean_Queenie has had her culture going for 7 day now and it is looking really good. Not quotes done, but with losing air to her Rhodosomas on the first night she is super pleased. Here is what it is looking like now.

Notice the pod water is really light, so she poured a little water through a sieve and man was she impressed with the number of Apocyclops pods she has grown. She added them back and added a little more phyto. And this is what it looks like with the lights on.

Notice how much lighter the phyto looks when lit. You have to turn the lights off to check it as you can see how dark it is in the first picture. She is going to split and restart her phyto when we get back from picking up our daughter from school.

I have a 25 gallon tank with a Mandrian Goby like the one pictured in your ad, it has been alive for years and I was able to acquire it, problem is he is getting skinny.
What should I feed him and how often?
Does one just get a bottle monthly?

Nebraska. For vowels.
Frequency depends on many things. I would dose with maybe a 16 Oz of blended. If you have filter feeders jump up
To the premium for the rotifers. Dose at least one hour after lights off. The. Check every couple of nights with a flash light. When you see pods declining order more. Might be good to plan for a second dose
In 2 weeks. If you dose phytoplankton you have a better chance of establishing colonies. As you check them maybe weekly after the second dose you will get an idea of how well their population maintains. Just shine a light on the glass for a little while and see what gathers.

If you have softies, zoas, clams, feather dusters etc. dose about 2-3 ml per day of phyto. If not 1-2 ml per day, and if fish only 1 ml will suffice.

32 Oz phyto would last 30 some days at 25 ml per day.
