All SPS acro milli turns green

Hi everyone, my sps frags all turn fluorescent green and stay green. Red acro, Blue mili, strawberry short cake. all turn green
I put them in and they turn green within a week or two. They are 4-5 months in my tank. I fragged it from mate's tank. Mother colony has zero green at all. Growth has been ok, not the best just encrusting. Polyp extension is fine. They don't die.

What could be the cause? all comments are welcome

feed reef roid -every other day

10% weekly water change TM pro German batch

fish load 6 tangs 1 fox face 1 goby 2 clowns 1 sixline. feed pallet 3 times a day all up half tea spoon. nori 4x4cm and 1 cube mysis every other day.

1 Red acro, came in all red, turns all green. now half red. Mother colony has zero green.

2 Strawberry Short Cake - Came in green and pink tip. turns brown. now all green

3 Pink panther. came in brown. turns pinks tip pinkish body. now pink tip stays body has develop green. Mother colony has zero green. if my SSC looks like this I will be happy.

4 Blue mili. came in blue. now develop some green. Mother colony has zero green

salinity you mean 1.024 right?

yea 1.024-1.025 Cheers. The only thing I can think of is that these pieces was grown under Radion but mine is Orphek.

Maybe it's just too much light? Hard to say without comparing par and spectrum between the two tanks.

That can be very true. some area does get to 500 par. Spectrum is also heavy blue 100% for 8 hours. Do you think that can cause this?

From what I understand ( no expert) sps under lower par turn green but over 300 par or more then they color up. Hope this helps. I have a Walt Disney that was green at 200 par moved it to 325 par and it’s coloring up nicely.

I have 2 Walt Disney in my tank, the green frag is getting approx 250 par. The more colorful one is getting approx 400 par. My tank is lit up by 4 Radion G5 Blue .... running at 85% output

From what I understand ( no expert) sps under lower par turn green but over 300 par or more then they color up. Hope this helps. I have a Walt Disney that was green at 200 par moved it to 325 par and it’s coloring up nicely.

I think you are mostly right but it seems to depend on the strain. I got a miyagi tort and the sides/top of it that are directly getting light are green while the shaded parts and areas that are not facing directly upwards are a deep purple.

I am curious about the 100% whites? I run my Kessils @ 87% intensity with whites set at 10%

Edit, The Violet, Red and Green are all turned off.

Here is a screenshot of my current settings.

The color settings are identical throughout the day. The whites are never more than 10%. The intensity changes throughout the day in an attempt to mimic the natural movement of the sun. Since I have been using these lights and settings, my tank has exploded in growth and color.

Green = low light. It may take weeks or months to color up at higher light. I have a red planet with a green spot on the base where the stalks cause a shadow.
Strawberry SC was green until I increases the light.
Maybe try a longer max than 6 hours, like 8 1st, then 10 hours @ 100%.

Same par you are running now, 8 for 2 weeks, then 10 hours.

Are you running the ab+ template? 100% everything and just adjusting the top slider to 85%? I have 4 g5 s blue as well but keep at 28% and am getting 230 - 360 par with the diffusers. I tried slowly cranking up in past but lps on sandbed were suffering too much. Especially favia. Love that walt disney. Mine is yellow and pink with shorter polyps. That is one of the prettiest WD I have seen. I love the blue in yours!

Yes I am running AB+ but I did some modifications to the template. Not every color are on 100%
I do not use red and green at all, and I do not have diffusers on my fixtures.

My intensity is at 85%
