Hi. The suction cups on my pump was falling off so I want to use a super glue I have on hand.
The problem is, the glue wasn't straight cyanoacrylate and was alpha cyanoacrylate. I is it ok for my fish tank or should I get another bottle of glue?

Alpha is a chemical term if it is accurate, or it could just be a name. That just means something is chemically bonded to a alpha position on a molecule. I do believe this would be fine.
