Hey everyone,
I’ve seen in other posts people using the similar gel, but just wanted to quadruple check as I don’t want to risk crashing my tank. My only LFS is petco and they stock the crappy seachem coral glue that explodes on next use and barely holds the frags in place. I know cyanoacrylate is safe but it also states it has hydroquinone.

Gorilla glue was my preferred glue as it seemed to set up the best before I started using bulk BRS heavy gel glue. The only word of caution is I’ve gotten gorilla glue gel in those plastic bottles off of Amazon and for whatever weird reason either container the glue would not set up. I don’t know if it separates in those plastic bottles or what but I would never buy a plastic bottle of that stuff again. The metal tubes I’ve never had an issue with.

I have used this and it works fine... word of caution though, shake it and make sure it hasn't separated (squeeze a bit out) before using. If I let it sit for a bit and didn't shake it, a bunch of liquid would come out before the gel and make a mess.

I ordered what Bryan M suggested, this was just in a pinch with him being on the sand bed, I knew I was gonna wake up or come home to either my sifting starfish or one of my hermits tipping it in the sand sooner than later.

I did shake the heck out of it, the container states to do so before any application to make sure it properly mixes from prolonged sitting.

You folks are using accelerator right?
I don’t gluing corals, but on rock work I use the BRS accelerator insta set. My experience was just frags by the time you dip it in the water for a few seconds it sets up enough to not go anywhere. That insta set has a funny smell I just don’t like spraying that stuff on by corals. It’s probably 100% safe, but still I try to keep it to a minimum after I use it on rocks and i rinse it off with RO/DI water before I put it in the tank with a bit of carbon running.

Yeah, I shook the heck out of the bottles before I used them but again Amazon who knows how much the stock gets rotated or maybe I just got a couple bad bottles, but yeah for whatever reason that stuff never set up and I never gambled again buying the bottles lol
