hi guys! I’m really starting to dislike live rock taken straight from the ocean due to the problems I am having with it. (Harmful plants and worms that I have found and unknown stuff I still find). I just want to have a safe alternative to this and more environmentally friendly. I was reading into caribsea life rock and wondering if anyone has had it? Also can I make my own live rock? If you use an alternative to live rock, what do you use?

Dry rock will eventually become "live". It just takes time. Using live rock makes things go faster, but as you said, the risk of unwanted hitchhikers makes this a less desirable option IMO.

Yes, you can make your own live rock. You can get a totally unique aquascape this way. I'll try to find a link with instructions
