Hey there, I'm new to this forum, but not to aquariums. I currently have four saltwater tanks, but here's my favorite. It's macro algae dominated with some NPS corals

Current livestock is as follows:
15+ species of macro algae
3 NPS gorgonians
4 sun corals
dendrophyllia
carnation coral
feather dusters
flame scallop (had for 11 months so far)
ATL mini red carpet anemones
purple vase sponge
pair of talbot's damselfish

It's a standard 20 gallon. I feed (get ready):
phytofeast live-6-8 times per day
oysterfeast-once per day
rotifeast- once per day
reef cleaners filter feeder food-once per day
live baby brine shrimp-a few times a day whenever I get around to hatching them, usually every 2 weeks
nutimar ova-2 or 3 times per week
reef nutrition ROE-2 or 3 times per week
enriched spirulina brine shrimp-everyday, enough for the sun corals to eat a couple times, the damsels catch the stragglers
hikari & PE mysis-every day, same as above
pork blood (not kidding)-I don't get this often, but when I do, I use the whole pint in about a week feeding a few times a day

Thanks for the kind words everyone :) I'm glad you all like my tank.

I was thinking about removing the damsels and adding a pair of pipefish and possibly a seahorse or two. Any suggestions on pipefish species?

Very nice. I just set up a planted nano not too long ago, nice to see another macro tank. Could you post pics of the different macros you have, also what kind of lights and filtration are you running?

I'll get pics soon. For lighting, I have a 2 bulb, 24 inch T5 fixture with one 10k bulb and one actinic. For filtration, I have a 5 gallon sump with a filter sock and GFO reactor.

Thank you :)

Pork Blood....tell me more

I believe it was scripps that used beef blood and brewer's yeast to grow black corals so I figured if they can grow black corals on it, why not try it with gorgs and carnations? I only have access to pork blood, so that's what I use. The gorgs absolutely love it. They show a fantastic feeding response when I put even a small amount in, and I assume it has pretty decent nutritional quality. I'm working on getting the yeast, but when I do, I'll be experimenting with that too.

One somewhat scary thing I noticed is that the damsels start to get really antsy and active when I add the blood.
