Alveopora question

I just transferred my current corals into the new tank. Right now, the alveopora is on the sandbed. If i keep it low, should the frag plug it be mounted on a rock?

Mine seem happiest on the lowest rock shelf in my tank. I'd either glue them or find a way to place them that's reasonably secure (in the event you want to experiment with different locations, etc.)
