Am i going to have too much flow?

I have a 70g sps tank and noticed ive gotten a little bit of stn going on. When feeding ab+ yesterday i noticed the lack of flow around the corals that are having issues.

my return pump is around 450gph and i have 2 mp40’s oposing each other at around 30%

i havent had any parameter swings which makes me think that its flow related.

im thinking about buying 2 mp10’s to go on the top back to try and add some more flow around the whole tank but hopefuly no too violent.

You say your return pump is 450Gph - is that the rated speed or is this after you've calculated flow loss through the piping? Typically you want 3-5x turnover, so for a 70 gallon system you'd want 210-350Gph at a minimum.

Return pump sounds fine; the pair of MP40s should also be more than enough..

You have the luxury of having a BB....as long as the fish aren't getting blown against the glass and the coral aren't in direct line of the flow, blast away :)
