Good evening everyone. I have a tank that has been up and running since August of 2022. It's a 150 gallon peninsula 48 x 30 x 24. Back in October of 2021 when I received the tank I made a post asking about a bubble in the silicone.

I just went and took a look at the seams on my tank since I hadn't looked closely at them in a while. Along one of long panels I can see this gap which I hadn't noticed before.

Next to the bubble in my first picture there is also a similar gap.

Should I be worried? I can't fathom how these gaps could happen given this is braced around the bottom perimeter interior edge by a pretty thick piece of glass.

Got a reply from the builder. Told me to keep an eye on them and let them know if they get bigger. Trying not to obsess over it but it does worry me a little. But since this isn't caused by water and because of where they are I don't feel as bad as I did at first.

How do you know it’s not caused by water ? What did they say the cause was ?

They said it's an air inclusion in the silicone that becomes apparent over time due to pressure on the silicone from the water pushing on the eurobrwce. The largest void was there before water was even added to the tank. If it were from water I would think there would be some obvious trail from the edge of the silicone. Maybe Im just trying to make myself feel better but logically it sounded like it made sense.

Maybe you can find someone local who reseals tanks professionally and as for their opinion ? Just for your peace of mind.

Good idea. I'm debating upgrading to my dream tank earlier than I was planning and have gotten quotes from a couple builders. Maybe I'll ask what they think.
