Is anyone using these? Any issues? At these prices I would replace them monthly.

I’m personally using these carbon blocks (inexpensive but effective) : https://a.co/d/iGPePbd

I use these test strips to determine when the carbon blocks need to be changed. It saves money over the long run and gives you a peace of mind knowing there isn’t chlorine bypassing. They measure total chlorine which includes chlorine and chloramine: https://a.co/d/j7ztiMK

I think your source can work, and it’s much, much cheaper. I’d pick up the test kits just to know when they need to be changed and if they are working for your water. Many tanks don’t need the expensive chloramine filters; standard blocks usually work unless you live in a place with water pretreated with chloramine.

I’m starting to rethink my ROdi game. My through out is great I’m near 1-1 and it can make 300g in 24 hours. I’ve got it dialed in that, my DI is lasting a minute now. I only make 2 amounts of water 50g or 300g. It’s automated, but it only will come on automatically when my ROdi storage hits the halfway mark, which was about 5 days, but I have second system coming online now.

But, I’m seriously thinking about replacing the cation and anion (sp?) with 2 additional mixed beds. Then rotate and always put the new one last in line. My source water only has 35-40 TDS pre sediment filter. I run: 1) 5 mic sediment,
2) 1 mic sediment, 3) & 4) 5 mic carbon 5), 6) & 7) DI chambers. I also run 2 booster pumps with 2 membranes. I think I would not see a difference if I made this change. Thoughts @Miami Reef ?

Thanks for the test strips idea. Ordering.
