I bought a small bottle of Brightwell CoralAmino as an experiment. Immediately I noticed a significant difference in my LPS corals - brighter colors, more feeders at night and more inflated. I didn't see much difference in my SPS though, so I picked up a bottle of Acropower and we'll see how that goes. I've noticed that some AAs seem to be marketed for one or the other - Acropower obviously for SPS, and Korallen-Zucht makes an "LPS" amino acid.

For those who have a mixed reef and use amino acids, do you use different kinds for your LPS and SPS? If so, which ones do you like? I'd prefer to use only 1, but I am really liking the difference in my LPS. I want my SPS to look that good!

Tagging along.

I seem to read pretty consistently about Acropower being used by SPS folks. I used to use Fuel by Aquavitro myself, but stopped. I've seem my corals react to many things, and am curious about amino acids too.
