This will be the 3rd batch of QT I setup, I got RO/DI water and mixed with RedSea salt and filled up the tank and setup all heaters, pumps, filters. ran for 24 hr, my ammonia badge not showing in the yellow side, so i tested with API and RedSea test kits and surprised to see its not zero, as per the chart i have to assume its between 0 to 0.25, Is this normal?

Another question, since this QT will be un-cycled tank and I am adding Seachem Seed 1 cap full everyday, and will test for Ammonia every 3 days or so. plan to do WC every 4th day of 4 gal on this 20 gal. Should i be testing for any other like Nitrite, Nitrate, Ph?

Api test kits test for total ammonia so you'll likely always see a reading. Mine shows .25 constantly and like you I always use a seachem badge. With these two combined I'm confident my ammonia is 0. I've never used red sea however.
