It's normal... may be wanting fed or senses food in the water. It could be expelling waste.

Could be a few things, could be trying to expel waste or excess food. Did you just feed it? Also keep an eye on its tentacles and see if they keep shrinking, this could potentially be a sign of a dying nem, but it could also be benign.

If it everts the mouth for a short time (hours) and then goes back to normal, it's likely no big deal.
If it stays that way and the tentacles start to shrink, it may be feeling distressed.
It's not a sign of hunger, and if you fed it something a few days ago, you don't need to feed it again yet.
