Anemone acclimation and husbandry.

I have no problem keeping corals, or fish.

I acclimate every RBTA I get, the same way I would any fish with the drip method, I've never had any copper in my tank, currently running Cuprisorb and carbon just in case.

I just can't keep these things alive. Every single one I try, big or small has lasted a couple days and then folds up and I NEVER see them again. I wait 6 months or so before I try another one, and they just roam around for a couple days and then give themselves to the great Nem in the sky. I use a Fluval 3.0 in a 65 tall with the rockwork plenty high up the tank for good PAR, and theres plenty of flow. What could I be doing wrong?

If they're roaming that tells me they're not happy, most likely with either light and/or flow.
What % are you running your light at?
Also, what are your nutrient levels?

I do not have a nitrate test kit handy. There is a healthy amount of GHA in the tank so nitrates may be bottomed out. My Hanna checker just read .07.

It's usually the opposite -- when there's a lot of GHA in the tank it typically means there's a lot of excess nutrients to go around.

By Fluval 3.0, are you referring to your lighting? Which one do you have and how many are you using? If just one, I'm guessing that you need more light.

Lastly, do you have any coralline growing in your tank? The presence of it is usually a good sign that your tank is healthy enough to house an anemone.

which one do you have....
IMO, Its not enough par....those lights are good for softies.....unless the anemone goes to the very top

Wrong light.

Nem is a light lover almost impossible to overlight cause he has motion and will move if uncomfortable.

I think you should be in the 100-165watt range to feed this guy.

Light is the main source of “food”.

The shrink may be it starving.

They hate change in water chemistry as well.
