Hey guys have a situation.. tank is almost a year old and these guys been in for 6 months. Well started as one and split.. they haven’t moved since. They’ve been like this for almost a week now. I have 3 clowns that don’t host any anemone, lawnmower blenny and few assorted shrimps. I may have fed the tank a bad batch of mysis.. it was left out overnight and fed the next day. Everyone was fine and acted as usual. About a week later the nems started acting like this stomach out hasn’t gone back in. They haven’t lost any color and I haven’t tried to feed again. Tanks has been stable with 2 part dosing, reef buffer and amino acids done manually. Not hard with only fish and nems no corals yet. Monthly 25% WC. Temp 80-82 at peak. Lights: T5HO (48” & 24” both with new bulbs about 5 months old) and 2 currentUSA LEDSg 1.026, Cal 385, Alk 10, Mg 1300 the rest 0. Any help would be appreciated thanks :)

A pic to get an idea where they are:

Sometime if I neglect maintain my tank, mainly skip water changes, my anemone would bubble it’s gut like that. As I get back on schedule with my maintenance this would resolve.
I associated the bubble of the gut to poor water condition.

Thanks for the replies :) it split about 5 months ago. As per the WC I’ll have to check it because I get it from LFS maybe something bin the water or not up to par for parameters. I should start checking it.

Also I’ve noticed a mucus ring the foot of the nems. It’s has always been there any idea on what it is and should I remove it?

I would leave that alone. Sometime anemone foot get irritated due to various reasons, usually from touching noxious condition around it’s foot. They would secrete mucus to protect themselves. If you can determine what irritates it, remove the irritation if you can
if The irritation is too much they either fight and sting the causes or fight and move away.

I am not saying that this is the cause in your case but it can be one of the causes that result in mucus at the foot of the anemone.

Sounds great I really appreciate the help! I will monitor things more closely. Any idea if I should try and feed them? I usually feed them once a week with mysis I tried silversides cut into small pieces but them seemed to ingest it and spit it out so I stopped feeding them that.
