Anemone feeding question.

If I were to give an anemone a chunk of something and it was too big for it, will the anemone eat what it can and then spit it out? Or will it spit up the entire thing?

It will spit up everything I’m pretty sure and use more energy than gained so make sure the feedings are small

What kind of anemone? Most do not need to be actively fed.
I have a bunch of rose BTA's that spit every month and have never been fed anything besides the fish food they grab while feeding the fish.

Anenomes generally don't need or benefit from large or often feedings.

Some anemones don't do well with being fed at all.

Well I had a sebae anemone grab and try to eat a small kole tang, I guess he could of used more meaty feedings..
